Day 1: Your Preferred Location to Haridwar

It starts in its earliest phase with a flight or bus (whatever convenience is available) from your
location to Haridwar, one of India’s holiest cities. It is a 5-6 hour drive, about 220 km. Once you
reach there, check in the hotel, freshen up, and move for your spiritual exploration of Haridwar.

Har Ki Pauri

The most revered ghat in Haridwar is Har Ki Pauri which collects thousands of devotees daily. So it is called Footsteps of Lord Vishnu, as he is believed to have left his footprint on a stone here. Ganga Aarti, which is performed each evening, is the highlight of this ghat. In the middle of the night, when the sun sets, priests dressed in traditional attire light huge brass lamps and chant powerful Vedic hymns in unison. It is a divine atmosphere with thousands of earthen lamps floating on the river and devotees clapping in such rhythm. Feeling that sacred energy of the Ganges wash over you is a surreal experience for your feet to dip into the holy waters.

Maa Mansa Devi Temple

Maa Mansa Devi Temple serves Mahamaya or Shakti in her form as the goddess who grants wishes to her followers. The Bilwa Parvat summit on Shivalik Hills supports this place of worship. The journey to the temple becomes accessible through either a climbing path or a ropeway that yields spectacular views of Haridwar. To achieve their intentions, devotees attach holy threads around the temple rails. The sacred atmosphere of the temple enhances its reputation as a rewarding destination because it provides visitors with beautiful views of Haridwar.

Shri Maa Chandi Devi Temple

The journey to the temple becomes accessible through either a climbing path or a ropeway that yields spectacular views of Haridwar. To achieve their intentions, devotees attach holy threads around the temple rails. The sacred atmosphere of the temple enhances its reputation as a rewarding destination because it provides visitors with beautiful views of Haridwar.

Bharat Mata Temple

Unlike a traditional temple associated with some deity, Bharat Mata Temple is dedicated to Mother India. Indira Gandhi inaugurated this eight-storied temple in 1983. It has different floors for the cultural and historical heritage of India. Statues of the most eminent personalities, freedom fighters, and deities of national unity are housed at each level. From the angle of spirituality and patriotism, the temple stands as a remarkable fusion that offers travellers a unique experience from India’s rich legacy.

Daksh Prajapati Temple (Kankhal)

Daksh Prajapati Temple stands inside the peaceful town of Kankhal within Haridwar, where Hindu mythology strongly exists. King Daksh received worship at this temple because he was the father of Sati while this religious site commemorated the famous event when Sati self-immolated before Shiva displayed his wrath. Guests who visit the temple complex find peace for contemplation along with a holy Shiva Linga. A variety of devotees visit this sacred site because they want to obtain blessings from Shiva and experience spiritual insights.

Pawan Dham

Visitors enjoy touring Pawan Dham due to its extraordinary glass and mirror decorations. The temple’s colorful glass decorations illuminate several sculpted idols, producing brilliant gleams. The divine radiating power of this temple, together with its captivating artwork, guarantees that Haridwar visitors will not want to miss it.
Upon completing your day of spiritual discovery, you can rest at your hotel.

Day 2: Haridwar to Rishikesh

Begin your journey toward Rishikesh following an initial morning meal since it lies at a 20-kilometre distance from Haridwar. Rishikesh is a spiritual destination in the Himalayan foothills, where people can discover spiritual retreats combined with active sports and stunning natural landscapes.

Triveni Ghat

Two major religious centres combined with a sacred confluence mark Triveni Ghat because this area unites Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Among its spiritual properties, the spot hosts evening Ganga Aarti, which resembles Har Ki Pauri but offers a peaceful environment. The Ganges River gathers devotees who pray and light oil lamps while going for a religious bath to cleanse their sins. Visitors find the ghat’s location among greenery to be an ideal setting to observe tranquillity while resting.

Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula

Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula are monumental suspension bridges linking the different sections of Rishikesh. At Ram Jhula, the distance between the banks of the Ganges measures 450 feet. In contrast, Laxman Jhula stands as an architectural wonder at the point where Lord Laxman supposedly crossed the river. Strolling across these bridges lets you witness the river and temple views alongside spiritual market activities selling religious mementos.

The Beatles Ashram

The ashram where the Beatles spent time in 1968 now attracts devoted fans of both music and spirituality as a significant place of worship. The Beatles Ashram features alluring graffiti artworks and abandoned meditation huts in its peaceful environment. Visitors to this site have three options: practising meditation or exploring the deteriorated structures, then connecting with creative residuals of the Beatles’ fame.

Gita Bhawan & Muni Ki Reti

Gita Bhawan is a spiritual centre and ashram with a remarkable collection of Hindu scriptures. This establishment is a centre for acquiring knowledge and meditation in simple settings. Muni Ki Reti is a peaceful sanctuary just nearby, providing an ideal spot for meditation, yoga, and deep contemplation. Enjoy visiting Rishikesh cafes during evening hours before seeking rest at your accommodation.
