10-Day Char Dham Group Tour From Haridwar Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival | Haridwar to Barkot via Mussoorie

  • Depending on your group size, we will pick you up from the available pickup locations in Haridwar and transfer you to Barkot in an air-conditioned car.
  • Our journey led us to the beautiful town of Queen of Hills, surrounded by mountains.
  • You can participate in water activities while visiting Kempty Fall, one of the area’s highest waterfalls.
  • Upon reaching Barkot, explore this small pilgrimage town on the banks of the Yamuna.
  • Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in.
  • Enjoy dinner at the hotel before heading to bed.
  • Get a good night’s sleep to get rid of all stress.

Day 2: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot | Yamunotri Temple Visit

  • Today marks the first stop of the pilgrimage, so rise and prepare yourself to be served by divinity.
  • Get your day started with breakfast at the hotel.
  • Yamunotri Dham, the birthplace of the Yamuna River, is the second most holy river in India.
  • Arrive at Jan Ki Chatti, the starting point of the 6km trek.
  • If you plan to start the trek, take a warm bath in Jamnabai Kund’s water. The water is said to cleanse all sin and prevent untimely and painful deaths.
  • Upon reaching the temple, the heads should be bowed down to praise the mother Yamuna. The temple of Ganga Devi houses the goddess’s idol.
  • There is a hot spring in the nearby village of Surya Kund. It is a practice to boil rice and potatoes in the kund and give them to the Devi as prasad.
  • The trek will bring you to Jan Ki Chatti, and you will drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.
  • The day will be concluded with dinner in the hotel.
  • Get a good night’s sleep to prepare for the next portion of the tour.

Day: 3 Barkot to Uttarkashi | Temple Visit

  • The land of spirituality awaits you.
  • After breakfast, move forward from Barkot.
  • Today’s road took us to Uttarkashi, the district capital of Uttarakhand, which sits on the banks of Bhagirathi.
  • Once you arrive at the hotel, check-in, freshen up, and go sightseeing.
  • Take a trip to Vishwanath temple in the heart of the city.
  • Located in northern India, it is one of the oldest Shiva temples. Maharani Khaneti Devi of the Tehri State reconstructed it in 1857 according to ancient architectural principles.
  • There is a large Trishul at Shakti Temple, measuring about six meters in height and 90 cm in circumference.
  • The goddess Durga originally threw this Shakti upon the devils.
  • Dine at the hotel.
  • Hotel stay overnight.

Day 4: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi | Gangotri Temple Visit

  • Awaken to mesmerizing mountain views.
  • Leaving Gangnani after breakfast and driving to Gangotri.
  • Embrace the holy water of Garam Kund at Gangnani.
  • Continue to Gangotri via the spectacular Harshil Valley, where you can admire the mountains and Deodar trees from the spectacular vantage point.
  • Visit Shree Gangotri and bathe in the sacred Ganges River at its origin, which is also known as Bhagirathi.
  • Worship Goddess Ganga once you arrive at Gangotri Dham, where humanity’s sins are said to be absolved by her descent on earth.

  • Return to Uttarkashi later.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi | Visit to a temple

  • Breakfast early and then drive to Guptkashi.
  • The journey takes you across the Ganga, offering mesmerizing views.
  • You will find the intersection of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag.
  • During the Garhwal region, you will have lunch in Srinagar (on your own). Afterwards, there are no facilities for eating, so keep all essentials here.
  • Enjoy a view of Rudraprayag and Ukhimath while travelling.
  • A transport to the hotel is provided to Guptkashi upon arrival.
  • Take a trip to Ardh Narishwar Temple (if time allows).
  • The day ends with dinner at the hotel and a sleepy night.

Day 6: Guptkashi - Sonprayag - Kedarnath | Visit to Kedarnath Temple

  • Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the mountains from your bed.
  • Breakfast will be served at the hotel in Guptkashi, and you will be transferred to Sonprayag , the starting point for the hike temple.
  • A signature feature of Gauri Kund is its warm water, which is believed to have therapeutic properties for skin conditions. During this ceremony, Shiva finally confessed His love for Gauri to Lord Gauri.
  • Arrive early for Kedarnath’s evening aarti.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, walk from Sonprayag to Kedarnath temple. The walk is approximately 19 km long and takes 7 – 8 hours, depending on fitness level.
  • It can be made slightly more comfortable by taking ponies or palanquins for the journey.
  • Take a break in between to eat at your favourite food joint and Maggie Point.
  • Getting to Kedarnath Temple will surely be worth the journey.
  • The moment you reach the temple, worship the almighty Lord Shiva. It is sure to bring charm to the eyes with this view.
  • Aarti at Kedarnath was a sure way to comfort the soul on a peaceful evening filled with prayers and ringing bells.
  • Visit the temple, stay overnight in the hotel and have dinner at Kedarnath.
  • You can now go to bed.

Day 7: Kedarnath - Sonprayag - Guptkashi

  • Experiencing one of the 12 jyotirlinga morning events stands as an immense honor.
  • Early morning visitors can gaze upon the temple while it overlooks the magnificent Kedarnath range.
  • Spend your night resting at the hotel/homestay before your return journey to Gaurikund.
  • The meal should be taken while traveling.
  • At Gauri Kund you should immerse yourself in the mystical water to recover from your exhaustion.
  • Spend the night at the Guptkashi Hotel while enjoying dinner at its premises.
  • For today, go to bed.

Day 8: Guptkashi to Pipalkothi

  • Travel onward to Pipalkothi after having breakfast at the beginning of the morning.
  • Along the path you will get breathtaking views of Ganga.
  • Badrinath exists as a pilgrimage town that forms a nexus between Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
  • The hotel staff will greet you to conduct your check-in procedure.
  • Proceed to sleep at the hotel following dinner.
  • Nothing is as valuable as a proper night of rest that reduces daily tension while enabling better performance tomorrow.

Day 9: Pipalkothi - Badrinath - Pipalkothi Temple Visit

  • Your first priority when reaching Badrinath should be to see Lord Badri Vishal’s temple shrine.
  • Rudraprayag: We take you to Rudraprayag, where two important rivers meet—the Alaknanda and Mandakini. It’s one of five special river meetings in Uttarakhand. The town got its name from Shiva when he appeared as Rudra. The temple honors Lord Shiva while numerous devotees come to worship him for religious purposes. 
  • Vishnuprayag: At Vishnuprayag, the Alaknanda River meets the Dhauliganga River. It’s the first of these five special river spots. Big mountains stand all around it. The place is named after Vishnu. Old stories tell us that Narada meditated here hoping Vishnu would bless him. 
  • Nandprayag: Nandprayag is where the Nandakini River (from the Nanda Devi Glacier) flows into the Alaknanda River. It’s named after King Nanda who raised Krishna as a child. The town feels peaceful and gives travelers to Badrinath a nice break. 
  • Karnaprayag: Karnaprayag is great addition to sightseeing where we take you to make your trip memorable. Karnaprayag is an important spot where the Pindar River joins the Alaknanda River. This town has ties to the old story of Mahabharata. 
  • Mana Village & Saraswati River: Mana Village is just 3 km from Badrinath. It’s the last village with people living in it before the Indo-Tibet border. This mountain village has lots of old stories about it. Note: If you’re with a group, you might need to pay to enter Mana Village. 
  • Mingle with the scenery while walking the river stream and enjoying the valley’s charm.
  • Ponies or palanquins serve as a convenience to enhance the comfort level of this journey.
  • Before stepping into the temple it is essential to visit the Tapt Kund hot water spring that contains believed medicinal properties.
  • A wonderful spiritual place exists in the form of Badrinath Temple. The temple has a conical shape with a minor cupola and spire that appears like a golden bull. The temple sits in the heart of its valley basin while mountain terrains shield it from all directions.

Day 10: Badrinath to Haridwar | End of Tour

  • Travel to Haridwar during early morning hours to reach on schedule.
  • Devprayag: Devprayag stands as the holiest among the five river junctions. At Devprayag the Bhagirathi River from Gangotri unites with the Alaknanda River to create the Ganga River. 
  • We will finish our day at the hotel by having breakfast before leaving.
  • Receiving blessings from God’s home brings absolute peace to those who visit the heart of Haridwar.

What to Know Before Taking a Group Tour to Char Dham From Haridwar

  • There is a minimum booking requirement of 6 participants.
  • Each individual guest must provide proof of identification at the time of booking and upon arrival. PAN cards are not considered valid proof of address.
  • There will be a charge of actuals for any breakage or damage to the resort property.
  • Rates may fluctuate if the service or hotel changes. If the package is changed before the trip begins due to an expansion of the number of guests, a change in the hotel, etc., the client will be responsible for paying any difference in price.
  • Fixourtrip is entitled to make changes to the itinerary in the event of unforeseen circumstances (weather conditions, political situations, etc.) without compromising the overall itinerary.
  • Children over 8 are considered adults only. For children under 8 years old, there is no charge.
  • The package does not include entrance fees for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees for monuments, camera fees, permits, etc.
  • The package doesn’t include personal expenses or items. Unless stated otherwise in the itinerary, all meals and transfers are included in the deal. Aerated water, mineral water, or alcoholic drinks are not included in the package price.
  • We do not include any drinks, whether they are alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water, in the package price.
  • The use of swimming pools at any accommodation is subject to strict government regulations.
  • State-issued guidelines must be followed. It is important to maintain social distance. It is recommended that hands be sanitized regularly and that a mask be used.
  • The display prices are based on a minimum of 6 PAX in a standard, deluxe, or super-deluxe room.
  • There is a GST charge on the cost of the package.
  • Please avoid using plastic bags at your destination and maintain an ecological balance. Travelers who drop garbage may be fined.
  • Once you have made a reservation, you will receive the exact location.
  • Ensure you take dry snacks or foods from home, such as granola bars. Keep two water bottles on hand, one regular and one insulated, to refill.
  • Packages do not include travel expenses such as international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport taxes, or insurance coverage.
  • It is the traveller’s responsibility to bear all costs incurred from then on when, in the middle of a trip, the traveller wishes to leave the trip or decides to do so. It will not be the operator’s or Fixourtrip’s responsibility to refund such decisions.
  • You will have to pay for additional adventure activities, ropeways, or cable cars yourself.

Fixourtrip: Policies Regarding Char Dham Group Tours From Haridwar

Confirmation Policy

  • Customers are required to pay 20% of the booking amount (non-refundable) to confirm the booking of the tour package. 
  • Thereafter, the traveller will get a voucher for a cost equivalent to 40% of the package for the subsequent tour booking section. 
  • Then from there, travellers will be required to pay the remaining 40% for the pending booking amount on the day of travel before boarding. 
  • Alternatively, if the desired schedule requested by the customer is not available, we will set up an alternative schedule with a new confirmation voucher. 
  • Even before confirmation, one can cancel the booking and the desired amount will be refunded back to the customers bank account.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the travel date, 20% of cancellation charges will apply
  • Cancellation made within 20 days before the travel date, the cancellation charges of 50% of travel package will apply
  • If a cancellation is made within 15 days of the departure date 100% of the booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • Some tours & activities may be canceled due to unanticipated events, government restrictions, and bad weather. However, feasible alternatives for this situation will be made. Cash refunds are not allowed.

How do we handle refunds?

We will process refunds within 10 business days of receiving them. If the refund is possible after deducting the non refundable booking amount, we will refund the balance amount to your bank account. Our team will ask for your bank details or UPI id to refund the amount directly to your bank account.
