This is a perfect guide to the beauties of North Goa-one, including Aguada Fort and the active beach area of Baga Beach.

Aguada Fort

This is a very lively attraction in Goa. This 17th-century Portuguese citadel was built to fend off the invading Dutch and Marathas. Located on a hillock above the Arabian Sea, it is quite well preserved. This old fort has a tourist appeal that testifies to its great colonial history, along with great views to cherish.
It was once also a freshwater spring that supplied drinking water for the traditional ships that used to play the Arabian Sea. A visit to Aguada Fort seems very much like time travel, with a chance to enjoy beautiful views of the coastal line.

Aguada Lighthouse

Along with Fort Aguada stands the Aguada Lighthouse, one of the oldest in Asia. Built-in 1864, it was used to guide sailors safely all through Goa shores. Nowadays, it is on par with a must-visit viewpoint displaying fine views of the Arabian Sea and surrounding landscapes.
For people with great photographic sense, this would prove to be the best site to click numerous images of the scenic coastline of Goa.

Sinquerim Beach

Sinquerim Beach enjoys a heavenly setting in the north of Goa. The golden sands and clear waters of this beach, relatively untouched from tourists, provide a lure to take some sunbath under the sun.
Jet skiing and parasailing also find a perfect ground in this beautiful beach with a long adjoining coastline that is a virtuous place for taking a stroll next to Aguada fort.

Dolphin Watching Trip

North Goa is a great place to enjoy dolphin watching. One can get onto a boat and sail off into the waters of the Arabian Sea to spot those playful dolphins jumping through the waves. An excursion expected to last about an hour or so, it guarantees great fun for families and nature lovers alike. Watching such graceful creatures is indeed a fantastic opportunity, especially out in the wild.

Anjuna Beach

Anjuna Beach boasts a lively atmosphere of hippie spirit, with legendary beach parties. During the day, you can relax and soak up some sun on Anjuna Beach or wander through Anjuna Flea Market, a big pack of stalls where everything from handicrafts to bohemian clothing is sold on the beach. By nightfall, the beach is all turned into a carnival-like zone full of music, fire shows, and thrilling excitement.

Vagator Beach

Vagator Beach is a beautiful beach flanked by cliffs with some panoramic views over the azure Arabian waters. Divided into two sections: Big Vagator and Little Vagator, the latter is the quieter hideaway from modern life. Some of its main highlights are the fairy-tale red cliffs and the world-renowned Chapora Fort, providing mesmerizing views ideal for capturing sunset moments.

Chapora Beach

Chapora Beach is, for surfers and other adventure seekers, a paradise. It draws all types of thrill seekers from around the world with its strong waves and tranquil beauty. Be it surfing or just lying down and relaxing on golden sands, Chapora Beach won’t disappoint in whatever you are looking for.

From dancing into the wee hours at Tito’s and Mambo’s to banana boat rides or jet skiing, Baga Beach has it all. It’s the energy, the music, and the endless entertainment options that make it a pick for party lovers.
